Bright rooms come with a traditional decor of tatami (woven-straw) floor, a low table with seating cushions and traditional futon bedding. They are fitted with a seating area, an LCD TV and a fridge. A safe and yukata robes are provided.

I need to cancel my reservation because my plans have changed. What should I do?
You can cancel your reservation online.

What is a Registered Tangible Cultural Property?
In 2003, the Momoyama Bath was officially designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan.
The Momoyama Bath is a fully wooden bathhouse, featuring a refined blend of Momoyama-style shoin architecture and traditional Kamakura-style wooden bracket construction.
It has also been selected as one of Japan’s Top 10 Large Public Baths, making it a well-known and highly regarded bathing facility.
The spacious bathing area offers a classic atmosphere that combines tranquility with a sense of elegance and grandeur.
A steam bath using natural hot spring water is also available on site.
Do you have open-air baths (rotenburo)?
Yes. In the main building, we offer two open-air baths:
the Garden Open-Air Bath of the Momoyama Bath and the Open-Air Bath of the Shinonome Bath.
Please note that these baths operate on a gender-based rotation schedule.

Do you offer day-use bathing?
We do not offer day-use access to our hot spring baths.
The baths are available exclusively to staying guests.
However, we do have a sauna facility available for day use.

I have tattoos. Am I allowed to use the large public baths?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but guests with tattoos are generally not permitted to use the large public baths.
However, tattoos that are approximately the size of a palm or smaller may be allowed if they are completely covered with a tattoo cover sticker.

How long does it take to reach the nearest ski resort by car?
The closest ski resort is Kita-Shiga Kogen Yomase Onsen Ski Resort,
located approximately 15 minutes by car from our ryokan.
In the Shiga Kogen area,Sun Valley Ski Area and Maruike Ski Areaare both approximately 20 minutes by car.
Skiing and snowboarding are typically available until early April, depending on snow conditions.
How much snowfall can we expect in winter?
In a typical winter, the onsen town receives approximately 30–50 cm of snowfall.
Please note that roads are equipped with snow-melting systems and are regularly cleared,
so heavy snow accumulation on the roads is usually limited.
However, roads may freeze in the early morning and evening,
so if you are traveling by car, winter tires (studless tires) or tire chains are required.
What public transportation is available to reach Jigokudani Monkey Park?
From Yudanaka Onsen Station, take a bus for approximately 15 minutes,
then walk along the pedestrian path for about 30 minutes to reach Jigokudani Monkey Park.
Alternatively, by taxi, it takes approximately 10 minutes from our ryokan,
followed by a 30-minute walk.
From spring to autumn, you may use the Shibu Onsen route,
which allows you to travel closer to the park entrance.
Is there a convenience store near the ryokan?
There is a convenience store located directly in front of Yudanaka Station.
